Family Holidays and Student Absences
Please make sure your son/daughter is in College during the January and May/June exam sessions, and if possible the two College weeks leading up to these sessions.
Their chances of getting the grades they deserve will be harmed if they miss the revision sessions or the exams themselves. Why don't a penguin's feet freeze?
The system that stops a penguin's foot from freezing is very elaborate and sophisticated and uses two mechanisms.
The first one allows the penguin to control the rate of blood flowing to its feet by varying the diameter of arterial vessels supplying the blood. In cold conditions the flow is reduced, when it is warm the flow increases.

Your exams will definetly go ahead even if the College is closed to other students.
You should turn up on time and go to the Hall: check the timetable if you've lost yours. If you miss one of these exams you will have to re-sit it in June when it will be a lot harder because it will have been a long time since you were taught the unit and you will be busy with other subjects.
