Yr 7 & 8 Engineering Day
On Thursday 3rd March the Maths and Science Areas will be running an Engineering Day for all of our Year 7 and 8 students. We have guests joining us for the day to help show why engineering is a rewarding and interesting career possibility that requires creative minds to solve challenging problems. This day is part of an on-going project funded by Creative Partnerships.
The activities on the day will include a hands-on presentation from racing driver Anthony Dunn; bridge building, constructing model Spitfires; building a radio controlled plane; designing, building and programming Lego robots; and using maths to solve engineering problems. We will also have consultants from EDT who will work for the day with 50 of our girls on an engineering challenge
