We have decided to take a different approach to homework. We would like our students to enjoy science and to understand how it seeps into every aspect of our lives, which is why we began our Science Challenge. The idea is that our students complete the projects detailed below, collect the points, and when they reach 10 points they will receive a special medal.
You will see that there is plenty of scope with something to interest everyone. A particular class of project e.g. creating a web page, can only be considered for up to a maximum of 3 points, so there will have to be a range of projects in order to get the 10 points. The science department will insist on the projects being of good quality - a quick sketch on a scrap of paper will not be enough for the creative art project!
So parents/carers, if your son/daughter says they don't have any science homework you can reply with confidence that they have a project to do!
